Resin
Epoxy resins are a two-component system consisting of resin and hardener. By mixing the two components, a chemical reaction takes place so that the liquid resin gradually hardens to a solid plastic. The result is a high-gloss, clear surface.
All resin art will have this glossy finish. I us a Mas Epoxy. It is a high quality resin.
Disclaimer: I am a perefctionist. Working with resin is both forgiving and fustration. In some cases there could be small imperections.
Sintra Panel
Sintra is solid PVC sheet and is an increasingly popular panel surface. It is strong, flat, light and much more stable than birch ply as it inert & not affected by humidity or temperature, creating a much more stable panel. It can be primed and painted just like wood. Size limit of 60” x 120” without a seam.
All Panels are custom made down to the inch.
Acrylic Paints
Using acrylic paint to color epoxy resin is a common and effective way to add color to resin projects. I work with a high-quality acrylic paint that is compatible with epoxy resin.
